  1. Dear Earth PM,

We at The Mayday Network are holding a free webinar this week on sustainable business travel that we think could be of interest to your website visitors and would appreciate it if you could place information about it onto your website.
Travelling sustainably for, to, and from work is enabling organisations to reduce costs, be more productive, and make more efficient use of resources. Not only do businesses, people, and the environment all benefit from sustainable daily travel, but the need for cost control and efficiency in the marketplace today has never been greater.

It aims to provide an insight into how the initiative ‘ways2work’ can support your business. Speakers will include business leaders from businesses such as West London Transport Development, GlaxoSmithKline and Telfonica O2 . They are already reaping the benefits of work related travel impacts.

The webinar will also give suggestions on how to embed sustainable business travel and using technology as an alternative to travel into your core business strategy.

Details of the event can be found here:

Do feel free to contact us if you have any queries,
    The Mayday Team.

My husband and I realized the waste we were creating the first week we received our Keurig. We have come up with a solution about the waste of the k-cups. We cut paper coffee filters into smaller round pieces and use them in the gray k-cup plastic piece. They actually work! But it is a time consuming process to cut all those little filters! We did this because we tried the mesh filters and they are hard to clean. Maybe Keurig could invent a paper insert, just like on regular coffee makers to go into the gray plastic piece? Peg

I am the VP of Programs for the Milwaukee PMI chapter. We are conducting our annual Professional Development Day (PDD) event on Oct 23, 2012 at the Country Springs Hotel in Waukesha Wisconsin, USA. Our 2012 PDD theme is “Lean and Green Project Management. We are currently researching potential speakers for our PDD event. Would your organization have a speaker that would be interested in speaking on the topic of Green Project Management. Our chapter does pay a reasonable speaker fee and covers reasonable travel expenses. If yes, would you please e-mail me a list of potential topics and a brief description of each that you might present.

  6. We will respond today to your question with a direct email from one of the two co-Founders of EarthPM.

I work for PhD in, a website that covers a variety of topics about the management field. We also strive to make our website a valuable resource for anyone who is interested in pursuing a PhD in management. To that end, through our own research, evaluating factors such as peer recommendations, web presence, and content quality, we’re developing a list of useful websites for managers entitled Top 100 Web Resources for Managers.
We are pleased to inform you that we have nominated Earth PM for inclusion on our list!
Should you be featured on the final list, we’ll provide you with a badge to display on your website and to promote your inclusion on your social media accounts.
Once the list is published, we’ll be reaching out to other management bloggers and websites to ensure maximum recognition for your site.

Additionally, if you wish to nominate another management blog or website that you feel is worthy of a spot on our list, please let us know. We’re still in the review and nomination stage.

  8. Thanks, Lauren. We’ll stay tuned. Thanks again for the nomination. We strive to make the site useful for managers of all sorts.

    Rich and Dave
